Catarina Godinho, PhD is Professor of Physiology and Physiology of Exercise at Egas Moniz Higher Education Cooperative and a member of the Medical Pathology, Nutrition and Clinical Exercise Group at the Interdisciplinary Research Center Egas Moniz (CiiEM).

She is also a collaborator within the rehabilitation working group of the Portuguese Society of Movement Diseases (SPDMov) as well as at the Portuguese Association of Parkinson’s Patients (APDPk).  

She has been involved as a collaborator and researcher in several innovative community projects including Cogweb Move It (cognition and movement), Bounce 4 Parkinson (balance training on trampolines for Parkinson’s) and Clinical Boxing for Parkinson’s, providing  interventions, teaching and research for national and international projects related to Parkinson’s Rehabilitation through the Egas Moniz-Cooperativa de Ensino Superior and the Interdisciplinary Research Center Egas Moniz (CiiEM). She has training and certifications in Boxercise, and Pound Method®; as well as MDS Teaching Course on DBS Movement Disorders.

She provides expert exercise activity instruction for the APDPK and in private practice, in addition to ongoing collaborations with Josefa and John.
